Curang Tanpa Niat  Synopsis

The story follows the struggles of a wife named Elina (Mira Filzah) who is forced to bear the brunt of her husband, Eshaal (Shukri Yahaya), who is increasingly infidelity. On the outside, Eshaal appears to be the perfect husband, but at work, he is entangled in a relationship with a much older colleague. Elina, who was initially unaware of the infidelity, begins to sense something is wrong as Eshaal’s attitude changes. The need to face this harsh reality tests her resilience and trust in her husband.

As her inner struggle deepens, Elina tries to find a way to understand what is really going on behind Eshaal’s behavior. From hidden conversations to suspicious changes in behavior, Elina begins to gather clues. However, even though she feels deceived and hurt, her love for her husband is not easily extinguished. She wonders if there is still room for healing or if she needs to take drastic measures to protect her dignity.

The conflict in their relationship deepens as Elina finally faces the inevitable truth. She must choose between forgiving and giving a second chance to the husband who has destroyed her trust, or daring to step out for her own future.

Curang Tanpa Niat Review

Curang Tanpa Niat is one of those dramas that grips you from the very first episode. With a storyline that hits close to home for many, it’s not just about infidelity — it’s about the emotional toll, the inner strength of a woman, and the question of whether love alone is enough to hold a marriage together.

Mira Filzah delivers a heartfelt performance as Elina, portraying the pain, confusion, and quiet strength of a wife trying to make sense of a marriage that’s slowly slipping through her fingers. Shukri Yahaya brings depth to his role as Eshaal, a man torn between appearances and selfish desires. Meanwhile, Sharifah Sakinah adds a compelling layer of complexity as the other woman in the picture.

The direction by Eyra Rahman keeps the pacing tight, and the emotional beats hit hard without feeling overdone. The script, adapted by Rina Khan from Oka Aurora’s original Indonesian version, flows naturally with dialogue that feels raw and real.

What makes Curang Tanpa Niat stand out is how it doesn’t portray Elina as a victim, but rather as a woman rediscovering her self-worth in the middle of betrayal. The use of Nadeera Zaini’s song It’s Not Us Anymore as both the opening and closing theme perfectly complements the mood — melancholic, reflective, and powerful.

Overall, it’s a solid drama that balances emotional storytelling with real-life issues, and it’ll leave you questioning: How far would you go for love, and when is it time to walk away?

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)
